A Keuring, otherwise known as an official inspection is conducted by an extremely trained group of judges that are also referred to as a “jury” and are usually led by a senior judge who hold the title “inspector.” The inspector has to pass numerous tests and has usually apprenticed for over 7 years to respectably earn that title. All inspectors are reviewed by their peers in order to evaluate consistency and quality in their judging decisions. At any time if a judge is found inconsistent, shows favoritism, or just considered a poor judge, they are subject to having their privileges revoked by the registry.
Our club holds an annual Keuring. We fly a group of judges to Kalispell, Montana from the Netherlands where they conduct an inspection on Friesians’ whose owners are members of the Koninklijk Friesch Paarden-Stamboer (KFPS). Only these members are entitled to enter their horses for examinations if the details on the application form are identical to the details that are registered with the KFPS. For more information please use the form on our "contact us" page.
